Deanta Ely prefinished oak
The Ely is a cottage style door — vertical boards beneath a plain top rail — in a real oak veneer with a factory-applied finish. Prefinished means there is no sanding, oiling or lacquering on site: the door is fitted, the ironmongery goes on, and the room is back in use the same day. The finish is even across every door in a way that is hard to match by hand, and it keeps the oak grain visible rather than covering it.
Glazed French doors
Two pairs of Ely glazed French doors were fitted, including the pair through to the living room. Glazed pairs let light travel between rooms while still closing off noise, and they carry the same cottage style framing as the solid doors so the two types sit together. A pair has to be hung so that the meeting edges line up and both leaves close cleanly against each other, which takes more setting up than a single door.
Ironmongery
Polished chrome lever handles on a round rose were fitted throughout, with Deanta latches. The bathroom door has a matching thumbturn privacy set so it can be locked from inside and released from outside in an emergency. Chrome against the natural oak keeps the look clean and works with the white gloss kitchen.
